The first Fashion’s Night Out in Toronto took place Thursday night in a form of many stylish scenes across the city. Fashion met with music, mingling, nibbling, sipping, and, of course, shopping. Many got decked out and strutted their fun fashions around from one event to the next. While the main areas of excitement were Yorkdale, Yorkville, and Queen West, my crew of lovely ladies stuck to the Yorkville hood.
First destination was the soft launch of Aime Boutique on Davenport.
Designer Monica Mei was there in smiles and a fantastic jacket from her line. She uses wonderful feeling fabrics, pays attention to seems and details, and has items made in Canada!
In the fabulous hidden back patio there was wine and one of the many Aveda stations offering hair-dos, lipstick applications, and hand massages. I really liked their new Snap Dragon lip colour, a nice deep plum that’s perfect for Fall.
Next was strolling slightly south to Hazelton Lanes for the MasterCard event. There were fun fashion-themed signature cocktails (the Passionista was truly tasty), stalls with clothing and accessories to purchase, makeup stations, computers to surf Peacock Parade‘s site, and a fun Photostar photo booth.
Queen of Canadian Fashion, Jeanne Beker, was also in the house looking lovely and chatting and posing with fans and friends.
Following that it was on to Holts. Coinciding celebrations happened at Holt Renfrew as the upscale store celebrating their 175th birthday.
