Monday the 7th: It’s fun to raid friend’s closets, but can you imagine how fun it would be to read Fashion Television’s Jeanne Beker’s? You can, and for a good cause to boot. Jeanne Beker and Friends Open their Hearts & Closets for Gilda’s Club at Gilda’s Club from 6-8pm. Then, later in the evening, Cream of Comedy takes place at Second City.
Tuesday the 8th:It’s the perfect weather for chili, so get your fill at the all you can eat Chili for Charity in support of Toronto Cat Rescue at Sadie’s from 7-10pm.
Wednesday the 9th: Toronto has some seriously funny people. Check some of them out during the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. Tues night there’s Sketch Wars at 9pm and Show Game (part of the free midnight series), both at Comedy Bar.
Thursday the 10th: In support of Juvenile Diabetes, the 3rd annual Frocktail Party takes place at The Burroughs Building with drinking, dancing, and bidding on fabulous frocks. On the comedic front, Two Kids One Hall with two members of Kids in the Hall is at Lower Ossington Theatre for the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.
Friday the 11th: If you’re in the mood for tunes, Jason Collett plays Music Gallery while
Harlan Pepper have their CD release party at Dakota Tavern. If you’re in the modd for music with a splash of comedy, check out Rap Battlez, part of the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival at Comedy Bar at midnight.
Saturday the 12th: For a Saturday night at the movies, head to TIFF Bell Lightbox for Hitchcock, the Blonde and Rear Window talk and screening. Or for something more there’s Binary: DX Fundraising Gala at the Design Exchange.
Sunday the 13th: The perfect Sunday night chill eve with music is The Piston for the 7th Annual Neil Young Birthday Tribute. Who doesn’t like Neil Young?
