What to do in Toronto: October 24 – 30

Monday the 24th: In Conversation with…Kim Cattrall takes place at TIFF Bell Lightbox at 7pm. Hear from the former Mannqeuin and Sex and the City star who’s in town appearing opposite Pail Gross in the play Private Lives.

Tuesday the 25th: Halloween’s around the corner and what better way to prep than learning the moves to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” at Dancemakers studio. Then in th evening, the wonderful Mumford & Sons take the stage at the ACC!

Wednesday the 26th: The Toronto After Dark film festival continues and one of the ones on my radar, VS, screens at 9:45pm at the Toronto Underground Cinema.

Thursday the 27th: This Thursday is a particular busy night in 3 ways: musicaly, cinematically, and philanthropically. Bruce Peninsula plays Lee’s Palace and KO is at Mod Club. TIFF Bell Lightbox is hosting In Conversation with…Guillermo del Toro and The Innkeepers at Toronto After Dark screens at Toronto Underground Cinema. Fireball Gala takes place at The Hoxton, while Paws for the Cause Gala goes down at Airship 37, and Amnesty International’s Dance for Justice with Arabeque Dance Company and Orchestra is at Enwave Theatre.

Friday the 28th: Have you ever wanted to be in a flash mob? Here’s your chance! Dress as your favourite recognizable rock or pop star and join the roving Halloween Rock Star Flash Mob. They’ll begin St. George subway station at 7pm and then rock its way down to the Velvet Underground. Later in the eve, Dan Mangan performs at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Chad VanGaalen is at Mod Club.

Saturday the 29th:  Dress up and head to Scary Storys Halloween party (with DJ Class!ck spinning) at Storys Building.

Sunday the 30th: Blitzen Trapper plays at the Opera House. A lovely way to recover from Halloween festivities and candy hang overs.
