What to do in Toronto: October 18 – 23

Tuesday the 18th: Spice up your lunchtime at the COC free dance series with the Flamenco Expressions at the Four Seasons Centre from 12 – 1pm.

Wednesday the 19th: If you were planning to eat out anyway, why not dine at one of the restaurants participating in Feast for the Fight, a night of eating for a cause where portion of the proceeds from your bill will go to the Canadian Cancer Association.

Thursday the 20th: COC free concert series: Love, Loss and Longing (Robert Pomakov and The Gryphon Trio) at the Four Seasons Centre from 12 – 1pm. This will surely be an excellent event! I’m a huge fan of the chamber music group the Gryphon Trio and Robert Pomakov (proprietor of Opera Bob’s near Dundas and Ossington) is an excellent singer I’ve known for years. Then in the evening, head to Koerner Hall for the Toronto International Flamenco Festival at 8pm.

Friday the 21st: There are two fun galas taking place: The Chocolate Ball: Cocoa Carnival at The Palais Royale Ballroom and Operanation 8: A Muse Ball at Four Season Centre for the Performing Arts.

Saturday the 22nd: Toronto Zombie Walk! Enjoy walking the dead walk around the streets of Toronto and then follow the sound of voices groaning “Brains!” towards the Underground Cinema where there are zombie appreciation movies DeadHeads (7pm) and War of the Dead (9:45) at the Toronto After Dark film festival.

Sunday the 23rd: Continue getting into the Halloween spirit with more Toronto After Dark films!
