What to do in Toronto: September 27 – October 2

Tuesday the 27th: We Day! catch the Free the Children event during the day, then feel more frivolous with the Futurama quiz night @ Gladstone Hotel.

Wednesday the 28th: A great regular Wednesday night spot is Spirit’s on Church just south of Bloor for their weekly open mic comedy night.

Thursday the 29th: Step It Up! rally to end violence against women takes place at Queen’s Park from 3 to 5pm.

Friday the 30th: Enjoy an afternoon catching a comedy with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective at David Pecaut Square at 2pm and continue the feeling of free with performances from the Canada’s Walk of Fame festival with Parachute Club, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Topper, and Scratch Skratch also at David Pecaut Square from 8pm on.

Saturday the 1st: Soupalicious is at the Exhibition Place from 11am to 4pm, but be sure to rest up so you’re able to go all night for Nuit Blanche.

Sunday the 2nd: What better way to recover from a night prowling Toronto Streets for art exhibitions than indulging in chocolate at The Chocolate Show at Roy Thomson Hall from 11am to 7pm. Then in the evening it’s a tough choice as there are two awesome concerts taking place: Gryphon Trio‘s Broken Hearts & Madmen CD release at Lula Lounge at 8pm and Serena Ryder at David Pecaut Square at 7:15pm.
