Yet another active and passionate Canadian has left us this week. Bill Bosworth was a wonderful kind and caring man, father, husband, neighbour and ally of the city’s homeless. A few years ago my mother discovered a former dance friend had wound up on the street. Not knowing what to do or where to go, she made a call to Bill. He swiftly and made some calls and was able to ensure that that man spent his last few years of life in comfort and under care. Something that meant so much to him as well as those who cared about him. It is a great shame and with deep sorrow that we have to say goodbye so early. Below is a lovely article from the TorStar News Service.
At his service there were wonderful words said about Bill Bosworth. He certainly was a man who possessed many qualities to be admired and emulated. One particular quote of his stood out in my mind: you can always make new friends, which is wonderful, but you can never make new old friends. So cherish your old friends, let them and your family know how much you love them, and live life to the fullest.
